The Limousin Champion and Supreme Champion was the April 2010-born Muldearie Franco, a son of Ronick Sidney and Loughhead Apricot. He was the first bull to be sold by Sandy and Alison Morrison and their son Gary, of Bush Farm, Keith, Banffshire. The family have been breeding Limousins for just two years and have three cows. Their winner sold for 4,500gns to T. Riddoch, Greenloan, Glass, Huntly.
The highest priced bull at the sale was a Limousin – the August 2010-born Buchaam Fourstar, a third prize winner in his class, from father and son Charles and Keith Ogg, Buchaam Farm, Strathdon. This bull is a son of Ironstone Bomber and Balnacraig Uavia. It sold for 6,800gns to M Davidson and Sons, Crichie, Inverurie, Aberdeenshire.
The Oggs also had the second highest price of the day for their other entry, the August 2010-born Buchaam Ferry, a son of Vison and Buchaam Delphinium. He was bought for 5,200gns to J.C. and D. Laing, Mill of Kintocher, Craigievar, Aberdeenshire.
A total of 14 Limousin bulls were sold to average £4004.
