About YLBC

YLBC Logo 2015

The main purpose of the YLBC is to encourage young people to become involved and develop their interest and knowledge of livestock and Limousin cattle, while having some fun along the way.

There are active Young Limousin breeders from all regions of the United Kingdom.  Under the national structure of the YLBC and its office bearers, events are organized at national and local level with the assistance of the British Limousin Cattle Society and its nine associated regional clubs.

Varied events and activities held in the year include:

  • National Young Breeders Stockjudging
  • Calf shows
  • Young Handlers’ Championship
  • Organized days and courses in preparing, halter training, clipping, showing cattle and general stock knowledge
  • Social events
  • AGM

Young Limousin Breeders are encouraged to take a hands on part in the promotion of the Limousin breed.  Under the heading of Today’s Youth – Tomorrow’s Breeders, the YLBC is the foundation around which the UK’s Number One Beef Breed will continue to develop.

You can become involved by becoming a member, please get in touch with the regional rep in your area to find out more!
