On Thursday the 26th of June 2025, Limousin breeders took centre stage at the Royal Norfolk Show, claiming an impressive array of titles and reinforcing the breed’s dominance in the show ring following on from a highly successful interbreed at the Royal Highland Show last week.

Emma Bishop, Chris Yeoman, Sam and Amy Drury

Emma Bishop, based in Milton Keynes, impressed judge George McCulloch of North Yorkshire with her outstanding April 2023-born heifer, Bishket Unique. Sired by the herd’s stock bull Brockhurst Nosferatu and out of Ronick Ruby, a daughter of Ampertaine Majestic, Unique was awarded Limousin champion cow/heifer before going on to take the best of breed title. She also formed part of the victorious interbreed beef group of three.

Following closely behind was Brambles Sweetheart, a January 2021-born cow shown by breeders A and P Padfield and Barwood of Great Yarmouth. Sired by the renowned AI bull Powerful Irish and out of Burnbank Natalie (a Dinmore Jonesy daughter), she went on to secure the Norfolk special and breed reserve champion cow/heifer titles.

Limousin breeders take home the Burke trophy.

The standout male on the day was Cinderhill Upperclass, who claimed multiple accolades including champion bull, reserve best of breed and reserve continental male beef champion. He was also part of the winning interbreed best group of three team who also claimed the renowned RASE Burke Perpetual Challenge Trophy and the Fountaine Perpetual Challenge Cup. Bred and exhibited by Sam and Amy Drury of Crowborough, this April 2023-born bull is sired by Loosebeare Riddle and out of homebred cow Cinderhill Matilda.

Congratulations to all exhibitors on a fantastic showcase of Limousin genetics.

A sincere thank you goes to the show organisers, judges, sponsors, exhibitors and all visitors who helped make the 2025 Royal Norfolk Show a great success.
