Maraiscote Idol from Ian Nimmo sold for 10,500 gns and led the trade at the BLCS February Sale held at Stirling Market on Tuesday 3rd February. This May 2013 born bull is by the prolific sire Goldies Comet and is out of Maraiscote Bop. The purchaser was Messrs MacKay, Nairn, Morayshire. In a sale very much with a commercial undertone 62 bulls sold to average £4,625.00. 24 bulls in all made 5,000 gns or more.
The second top price of the day was the 9,000gns paid for Spittalton Ionesco from Andrew Burnett. This bull had earlier been placed as the Overall Supreme Champion at the pre sale show by the Judge Alastair MacNab.
The champion bull is got by the French AI sire Bolide and is out of Spittalton Unison. The Champion headed south when purchased by L D Carr, Rushton Northamptonshire.
Ian Nimmo enjoyed a good sale day all round and sold Maraiscote Iggypop for 8,000gns to William Thompson, Hilton of Beath, Fife. This bull is another by Goldies Comet and is out of Maraiscote Allie. Also at 8,000gns was Elrick Inca from Michael Massie. April 2013 born this bull is by Craigatoke Dundee and is out of Elrick Flash. Purchaser of this bull was Messrs Cameron.

Elrick Inca bought by myself the other night at Stirling is to be shared between myself at Wester Bonhard and Roy Fisher of Marlepark Lims at Airdrie, Anstruther.
