ILC show held at Beef Expo 2004

Around 5000 people attended the ILC show held at Beef Expo 2004, at the Royal Highland Showground. Crowds were enthralled from the moment the show opened, until the last class was judged. All the judging, which saw over 300 cattle judged by Paul Byas, took place in one mammoth session. results>>

The ALEXANDERS of Perthshire

A team of 24 pedigree Limousin bulls, mainly red, some black and a few red with black genetics, are the service squad for a breeding herd of 800 Limousin blooded cows, thought to be the largest commercial Limousin enterprise in Britain. [more]

The CHATSWORTH HERD

To be a pedigree Limousin heifer in the Chatsworth herd means spending the summer grazing in stunning parkland which was laid out by Capability Brown in front of the magnificent Chatsworth House in Derbyshire, recently voted England’s finest stately home, and the destination of over 2 million visitors in 2003. GRAHAMS LIMOUSIN

In the late 1950’s teenager Robert Graham was milk boy for the family producer/retailer milk business, based at Bridge of Allan near Stirling. This eager, early rising youngster had never heard of Limousin cattle. [more]

The GREENWELL HERD

The HUDSCALES HERD

The views from Hudscales farm, 1000 feet high, near Hesket Newmarket in the Lake District National Park, are truly stunning. One of the largest teams of working Limousin bulls in England is owned by brothers David and Iain Robertson of Alnwick, Northumberland. [more]
