As part of plans for the Beef South West event later in the year, NBA SW is looking for beef producers under 30 years old with a passion for the sector.
The winner of the competition will receive a £250 cheque from sponsors The Vale Veterinary Group at Beef South West on November 8th 2012, with £100 and £50 for second and third place respectively.
The competition is open to everyone under 30 years old on November 8th 2012 and farming in Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Gloucestershire or Wiltshire. They must simply send a resume of their beef farming practice over the past 12 months, highlighting the enterprise’s Objectives, Management and Results.
A shortlist of six will be drawn up from the entries, with all six visited by a panel of judges. Three finalists will then be invited to give a short presentation at Beef South West, to be held at Westpoint, Exeter, after which the winner will be announced.
