Female judging well underway, and once again as has been the case in recent years, a cracking show. Leading the way in Cows in milk with calf at foot class is Smiths of Bloxham Ironstone Dumandy, already a prolific winner this year. Nudged into second place was the Wilodge Vantastic sired Dinmore Daffodil from Paul Dawes.
In the second female class which is also cow in milk with calf at foot born after 1st January 2009 – taking first prize was Somerset breeder Nick Hill with Quaish Evie, another Wilodge Vantastic sired animal.
Continuing this theme, Paul Dawes took the first heifer class with the Vantastic sired Dinmore Elegance.
Vantastic breeding is really to the fore today, and making it four female classes in a row, Ironstone Floribunda from Smiths of Bloxham has just won the in calf or maiden heifer class born or between 1st July 2010 and 31st December 2010.
