STARS SHINE AT BRECON
Brecon County Show was proud to host the first South Wales & Mid West Limousin Cattle Breeders’ Club Stars of the Future event held on Saturday 7th August 2010.
Rob Kirton of the Ashledge Herd, Bewdley, Worcs was the Judge for both the Stars of the Future as well as the Brecon Show Classes for Limousin cattle.
A marquee housed the cattle for the day and came in handy to shelter from a few heavy showers! A Show predominantly for younger cattle, there was a good turnout of bulls and heifers with an imaginative schedule to include: young handlers, groups of three, progeny groups, pairs, best calf sired by a Genus bull as well as those based on performance (beef value and maternal value).
Overall Champion was Sherry Ebony exhibited by Terry & Sheila Jones who took home the Tierston Stars of the Future trophy kindly donated by Mrs Delana Davies.
