Michael Loughran’s trip from over the water in County Tyrone proved
worthwhile when his May 2010-born bull clinched his class championship
and created a stir in the sale ring, where bidding reached 32,000gns.
Millgate Fame (lot 283), by Condor and out of Kilcurry Cailin has a beef value of +38.
His showing prowess at Carlisle followed a reserve junior championship
at Balmoral Show. He was also crowned All-Ireland champion bull at the
All-Ireland Bull Derby. Buyers were the Traffords of Keswick in Cumbria.

  1. I thought Millgate Fame looked Tremendous. I admired him as a calf at the N. Ireland Calf show and then looking outstanding at the Balmoral show where I thought he would have been at least Junior Champion. I then saw him at Castlewellan where he stood out on his own. I followed the sale live on the computer. Good Job Millgate Team, Keep them coming. Glad to hear there will be semen available.
