Congratulations to the Limousin team who once again won the interbreed quiz beating 7 other teams The team was made up of John and Claire Mason, James and Sarah Cooper and Sarah’s father Mr Thomas Wood, with the Shorthorn breeders coming a close second. Thank you to Keith Wilson for setting the quiz, there was a great attendance at The Anchor Inn, Whixley and a lovely supper was enjoyed by all.
Important Dates
10th April – Committee meeting at The Bay Horse, Goldsborough at 7.30pm
11th April – James and Sarah Cooper of the Tomschoice herd, from Dacre kindly invite all to join the young farmers judging competition at 7pm. Everyone Welcome!

8th May – Once again we are attending the Northern Limousin Extravaganza show at Craven Cattle Marts, Skipton; it will be an evening event allowing you to bring show animals into a safe environment before the show season and also a judging competition and BBQ. Everyone is invited to the Charolais dinner to be held on 23rd March at The Angel Inn, Topcliffe at 7.30pm. The after dinner speaker is Ian Smith (auctioneer at Wharfedale farmers andPatelyBridge auction). The cost is £18 per head. Main course options – Beef, Pork or Mushroom and Brie and puddings – Chocolate Brownie, Sticky Toffee or Berry Tart. Tickets and food must be booked in advance.
