At the British Limousin Cattle Society’s Summer Sale of Bulls held at Borderway Mart on Friday 8th June the top priced bull was the first bull through the ring Crossdykes Fusilier (lot 5) who sold for 5,200gns. This August 2010 bull by Culnagechan Bullseye out of Crossdykes Blossom was purchased by South Wick Farms, South Wick House, Dumfries.
Second best price went to Lot 10 Sportsmans Firestone brought forward by Boden & Davies Ltd. Firestone made 5,000gns going home with G & I Turnbull & Sons , Whashton Spring Farm, Richmond, North Yorkshire
Redrock Fernando made the third best price of the afternoon of 4,800gns selling to H R Hayton & Son, Asby Grange, Gt Asby, Appleby, Cumbria. A Fieldson Alfy son out of Redrock Belle, Fernando was put forward by J W Fieldson having been purchased as a calf at foot at the Redrock dispersal sale.

Norman Gentle leads breeders sale of females at 7,200gns
Following on from the bull sale a range of established & new breeders and commercial producers from all parts of the UK soon cleared the catalogue of females and youngstock that were on offer.
- 100% clearance on females
- 71 heifers averaged £2,135.20
- 10 cows & calves averaged £2,740.50
The top priced female of the afternoon was Lot 62 Norman Gentle brought forward by E S & E Norman this March 2011 heifer made 7,200gns and was purchased by Boden & Davies Ltd of the noted Sportsmans herd.
