We’re now into the bull classes with some smart animals entering the ring.
In the first of the Limousin bull classes, ‘Bull born on or after 1st June 2011’, it’s Maraiscote Gigolo from John Nimmo, who takes first prize. He is sired by Goldies Comet, a well bred, quality bull with stylish progeny to match. Second place goes to Mr and Mrs Irvine with Windsole Gregory, a lengthy bull who stands well in the ring. Finally, Lodge Gallant, put forward by Firm of WI & AW Callion, takes third place.
Redhead and Watson are up next in the ‘Bull born on or between 1st April and 31st May 2011’ class with Tweeddale Gerald. He is by Newhouse Clyclone and out of Marlepark Christine. In second place is a Bailea Black sired beast from Harry Emslie with Emslie Black Galway closely followed by Windsole Garth from Mrs W Lawson.
Next up is the ‘Bull born on or between 1st January and 31st March 2011’ class. This is won by McLarens Black Glenogil, a stylish beast put forward by Mr W McLaren, sired by Hudscales Darren and out of McLarens Black Duty. Maraiscote Gus, from John Nimmo, takes second place. He is sired by Goldies Comet, another prominent sire alongside Wilodge Vantastic, both of which have produced some excellent progeny. Third place was awarded to Harry Emslie’s, Emslies Black Gambler, a fine beast sired by Bailea Black BMW and out of Emslies Cocochanel.
Next up is ‘Bull born on or between 1st July and 31st December 2010’. With only one entry, first prize went to A & HSB Redden and Renton Partners. This was with Festival, another prize winning beast, sired by Celestin and out of Becassine.
Finally, it was W J & M Mash Ltd again, rounding off the day with a win in the ‘Bull born before 1st July 2009’ class. The bull, Hafodlas Domino, is sired by another one from the Bailea herd, Bailea Spinkie and is out of Hafodas Shona. In second place was Ironstone Executive from Smiths of Bloxham. Again, sired by Wildodge Vantastic, he’s an excellent beast with good shape and style. He’s out of Greenwell Sasha. Rounding off the class was Nebo Director from William Dick and Sons in third.
