The sale for the 2012 Red Ladies Derby has got off to a good start and there is a big crowd eagerly anticipating a good selection of animals.  David Tomlinson is in the box and off we go …….

Lot 1 Littlewood Firefly put forward from Barlow Bros has sold for 3,000gns to Francis Brothers. Sired by the prolific Fieldson Alfy and AI’d in calf to Ampertaine Commander.

Lot 8 Nebo Favourite from Mae Thomas went for 8,500gns to Andrew Ewing with Lot 9 Kaprico Fleur going to the same buyer for 5,200gns.   Fleur is by Ionesco out of Kaprico Ultimate the renown Royal Show Champion and Burke Trophy winner from 2006.

Lot 16 Ironstone Fabregas from Renton & Redden Partners has gone to Mesrs Lesley for 2,600gns.  This November 2010 born animal was bred by Messrs Smiths of Bloxham and is sired by Teddy out of Ironstone Charity.

The homebred Millington Freesia (lot 19) has just been sold for 4,000gns to S Galbraith.  This animal was second in her class earlier this morning and is by Millington Defender out of Millington Viola.
