On Saturday 12th January the NI YLB held their annual calf show in Ballymena mart which turned out to be a great success!
The show saw many young breeders compete to win the Young Handlers’ competition and coming out on top was Katrina Killen, a well known commercial breeder with Ethan Green taking Reserve Champion and Rebecca Adams following closely behind in Second Reserve. A number of people including sponsors commented that this was the best calf show that the club has hosted in years with a huge entry of pedigree and commercial cattle. A massive thank you goes to all our very generous sponsors. It was because of them that the day was such a great success and the pedigree and commercial champions both walked home with a good sum of money. Once again a big thank you goes to all the exhibitors, sponsors, judge and stewards and all the other helping hands on the day.
