The East Midlands Limousin Club Sale held at Melton Mowbray Market on Saturday 12th October 2019 saw a top price of 5,500gns. Leading the trade was the ten-year-old cow Sarkley Ellajen by Ionesco and out of Sarkley Volleyjen (by Mas du Clo) who was part of the Bassingfield Herd Dispersal on behalf of John Crofts, Holme Farm, Basingfield Lane, Gamston, Nottingham. She was purchased by A & G Gammie for their Westpit Herd.

Bassingfield Nellerjen, by Millgate Fame and out of Sarkley Ellajen, made 5,000gns to telephone bidders D & R McFarland for their Raydergem prefix who also bought Bassingfield Natalie (1700gns) sold in-calf to Mereside Lorenzo and Plumtree Maisy (1600gns) by Ampertaine Gigolo and out of Bankdale Amber.

Roughley Nova (Ampertaine Foran x Roughley Gossamer by Haltcliffe Vermount) from Walter Smith Farms, Chase Farm, Roughley, Sutton Coldfield made 4,000gns when going under the hammer to CG Buckston who also purchased Roughley Olive (2800gns) and Roughley Opal (2400gns) from the same home. Walter Smith Farms also sold Roughley Nikki for 2,800gns to Grant Farming Ltd, Roughley Nina for 2,800gns to SH Hamplett as well as Roughley Novelty to AJ Parker & Sons for 2,600gns.

Bulls sold to a top price of 3,900gns for Mayfields Nintendo from Andrew & Alison Clark, Ringinglow, Sheffield. Sired by Idaho and out of Mayfields Limelight, this December 2017-born bull had earlier won his class under Judge Ian Nimmo of the Maraiscote Herd and was purchased by JE Seals & Son. Plumtree Ozzy from Paul Cairns sired by Lodge Hamlet and out of Plumtree Jodie made 3,500gns when knocked down to JW Holmes & Son.

Back to the females and selling for 3,000gns to WJ & M Mash for their Brockhurst Herd was the three-year-old maiden heifer and embryo calf Plumtree Milly by Ironstone Colonel and out of Bankdale Amber from Paul Cairns.

A & G Gammie also bought the French cow, Divine, and Bassingfield Normajean both from John Crofts for 1,600gns and 1,000gns respectively along with Plumtree Opel (Plumtree Fantastic x Plumtree Lucelle by Broadmeadows Cannon) consigned by Paul Cairns, Hall Farm, Tollerton, Notts as part of his Major Reduction Sale for 1,200gns.
