Entry forms are now available for this year’s YLBC National Stockjudging Competition to be held at the Royal Three Counties Show, Malvern, Worcs WR13 6NW (www.threecounties.co.uk) on Saturday 14th June 2014 commencing 2pm.
Please note that all competitors will need to be paid-up members of the YLBC for 2014 (membership forms are to be found on www.limousin.co.uk). As in previous years, it is hoped this competition will serve as a qualifier for the Anglo-Irish Stockjudging Competition to be held later in the year provisionally at Antrim Show on Saturday 26th July. It is anticipated that the Reasons will be held in the Limousin marquee from 3pm with the prizegiving from around 4pm. Master Judge is to be Richard Bartle of the Dinmore Herd.
For your information, Limousin Grand Prix judging day is the Friday morning with the Burke Trophy (judged by YLBC President Kay Adam, incidentally) on the Saturday morning. We have also been kindly allocated a number of free entry tickets by the Three Counties.
For your information, Juniors are classed as under the age of 18 and Seniors 18 and above (maximum 28 years of age) on judging day.
If you would like to enter on behalf of your region, please contact the Chaiman or Secretary of your Regional Limousin Club (contact details on www.limousin.co.uk). Alternatively, as in previous years, you could simply turn up and enter on the day by way of encouraging as many young Limousin breeders as possible to take part.
