Today, Friday 14th June, sees the first of two inaugural Limousin Grand Prix events to be held this summer. At the Three Counties Showground, Malvern, Judge Chris Pennie of the noted Sarkley Herd will be presiding at not only the first Limousin Grand Prix of its kind but at the first “Royal” Three Counties Show which has recently been granted Royal charter.
The Grand Prix will be supported with a £1,000 prize fund by the British Limousin Cattle Society and it is hoped the event will showcase the attributes of the Limousin breed as well as boosting the profile of the already highly-regarded Royal Three Counties Show. A total catalogued entry of 54 animals from 17 exhibitors will compete in the 9 classes (four for males; five for females) and, of course, for Championship honours.
