A huge thank you must go to Keith Wilson for hosting this years interbreed quiz at The Anchor Inn, Whixley on 24th February. Unfortunately the Limousin team was beaten, and the Charolais cattle team took home the trophy.

Once again the Northern Limousin Extravaganza show is to be held at Craven Cattle Marts, Skipton on Tuesday 12th May at 2.30pm which allows you to bring show animals born in 2014 into a safe showing environment before the show season begins. This year’s competition will be judged by Mr Peter Kirton. There will also be a BBQ and refreshments available. Classes are for pedigree and commercial cattle with entry forms being sent out and available soon.
The following day Wednesday 13th May will be the CCM Limousin show and sale of pedigree Limousin cattle including bulls, heifers and cows and calves, entry forms for this will also be available soon.
We will also this year be having a stand at The National Beef Association Beef Expo at York auction on 21st May.
Phyllis and the team would also appreciate for any donations of cakes and biscuits to hand out with tea and coffee! Please come and join us for refreshments on the stand!
CHANGES TO GREEN PROGRAMME 2015 – visit to Andrew Clark’s is Sunday 23rd August also Malton show is the 5th of July, not June.
CONGRATULATIONS goes to William Barker for winning the senior heifer class at Stars of the Future competition at Stirling in November 2014 with his Ironstone Brandy daughter Tancredgrange Ivy.
Also congratulations must go to the North East club members who took part in the club competition at Carlisle’s Red Ladies Day in December 2014 and came away with 2nd prize.
