The NI Limousin Cattle Club is delighted to announce upcoming Annual Stock Judging Event held for the Young Limousin Breeders of Northern Ireland (YLBNI).
The NI Limousin Cattle Club and the YLBNI welcome all young enthusiasts to come along to the first event to join in and try the art of stock judging. The Club has arranged this to take place on Saturday 30th April at 3.00 p.m. at the Club’s new honorary member Jim Quail’s home premises at Banbridge. There will be more experienced members present to coach anyone with training and to encourage young breeders to take part.
The Young Limousin Breeders have had continued successes over a number of years and have gained a high reputation amongst other areas doing well at both individual and team titles.
The Club will hopefully select its regional teams for all the 2016 stock judging events. The first being held at the YLBC Stockjudging Competition scheduled for the Royal Highland Show in June. At this event the Northern Ireland region will be represented in junior team, senior team and individual awards against all regions in the UK. Juniors are classed as under the age of 18 and Seniors 18 and above (maximum 28 years of age) on the judging day.
The second event will be the Anglo Irish Stock judging event which is to be held in August at the impressive location of the International Limousin Congress. This is where all regions of the UK together with Ireland have their top three competitors battle it out in both individual and team titles in handling and stockjudging classes.
The Club would like to welcome all interested parties to come along and take part with the afternoon event starting at 3pm at Jim Quail, Lynderg herd, Northwood, Tullyear, Banbridge, Co Down, BT32 3RL where there will be a cup of tea and refreshments plus a chance to have a friendly chat.
