New Breed Secretary at The British Limousin Cattle Society
The British Limousin Society is pleased to announce the appointment of Will Ketley as the new Breed Secretary from 1st July 2020. Will promotes 20 years of experience working in the agricultural industry, from grassroots to the business sector. Will moves from his role as managing director of an investment company, with a portfolio of differing businesses from agriculture, engineering to property. He has a strong business acumen and has led teams to deliver clear strategic goals with a hands-on approach.
After growing up in rural Essex, Will went on to study a Degree in Agriculture with Business at Writtle University and has previously sat on the National Farmers Union Livestock Board. Will has a wide range of practical agricultural experience including working on the family farm; alongside the prefix of Picketts was established in the early ‘80s by his father and grandfather where Limousin genetics are still at the forefront of the herd.
Will is very excited to settle into the role as the new breed secretary, he says he is “looking forward to using these skills to take the Limousin Society forward from strength to strength whilst harnessing the talent that is already within the team.” Will commented “I am excited by the opportunity to fulfil the aspirations and potential of the Limousin Breed and its Members. I look forward to meeting as many of you, the Members, face to face once life resumes to normality.”
