Further to discussions with the auctioneers and NI representatives, the provisional new Ballymena sale date will be Sat 6 June at 12pm. We have decided to create a NEW sale on Taurus as many of the previously entered lots will have either been sold at other sales or privately so it’s been agreed to set up a new sale to accept the entries. IMPORTANT- This means Members will need to go onto Taurus and enter their animals for the sale on 6 June. It also means that animals entered for the original sale date of 4 May will NOT automatically be entered. This will be a live breeding sale including vet inspection with Ballymena putting the necessary social distancing/Covid-19 precautions in place to allow vendors as far as is possible to properly market their stock and buyers to view before buying. To help the sale, please stipulate in the ‘Animal Notes’ section if you are willing to allow prospective purchasers to view stock on-farm before the sale – with a prior appointment. Please note that the sale date of 6 June is still a provisional one as DAERA & Health & Safety Executive still have to ratify it.

Please note, the closing date will be Monday 25th May as we need to turn around the catalogue quickly. Please submit Herd Health Declarations in the normal way. Regarding DNA & Myostatin testing for bulls, we would request that any hair samples not yet sent in for testing be received in the Society office by the closing date, please.
